Consider this… Dean lies. What if… He didn’t just get lucky. He knew exactly what to say to Timmy because he’d been there before, thirty years ago.  After Mary’s death, Dean’s mom began visiting him at night, in his dreams.  At first it was a blessing.  There was nothing he wanted more than to see his mother again.  Dean tried to tell John about his dreams, but John wouldn’t listen, the memories of his late wife to raw and painful to think about.  Dean was always smart… maybe it would be better, for all of them, if Dean let her go, let her move on.  He knew it would be painful, but it was what was best for her, and it’d be okay.  So he told her one night with tears in his eyes, that she couldn’t come to him anymore.  Mary begged him to let her stay, to watch her little boy grow up.  It wasn’t fair, that she wouldn’t get to know the man he would become.  He looked into her eyes and told her, Sometimes you gotta do what’s best for you, even if it’s gonna hurt the ones you love.  I know you love me, and I’ll always love you, too, Mom.

Hail Mary, full of grace.

Our Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among woman, and blessed is the fruit of they womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
